Gyotaku Fish Printing

We started the activity with three lists: directions, tips, and FAQs, but the expertise was passed from one painter to the next...no need for lists.

Minke Whale Sequence

Here are three pictures of a Minke whale that Will took a couple of years ago. They are small, fast, and don't spend too much time on the surface. Notice the boat in the background, which is moving faster than the whale.

Fin Whale on a Pretty Day

Will took this picture of a fin whale a few days before our trip.  This is how calm the water can be!

The Whales of Wednesday

The humpback whale is Sedge, taken by Beth, who was the naturalist and narrated the trip.  This is a color picture.  It just looks like a black and white picture because it was dark and gray.
